Summer Hockey 2007
During the months of July, August, and September, we skate in HNA's summer league.
Basic Information
Here are some information about the program:
- We get 10 games plus playoffs (single elimination). You can expect to skate once a week in July and August, and every other week in September.
- The season will start just before or right after Fourth of July.
- Games consist of three 15-minute stop-time periods.
- Checking and fighting are not permitted, but full slapshots are allowed.
- The league provides two referees and a scorekeeper.
- Most of the games (at least eight) will be at Wilmington's Ristuccia Arena.
- Most of the games (at least eight) will start at 9:30 PM or earlier.
- There will be some Sunday games because that's when the league has the most ice slots.
- The remaining games are spread out between the week nights. The league does not schedule games for Fridays and Saturdays!
- There are no colour compliance requirements nor evaluation skates, so anyone can participate on any team!
- Full hockey gear required, including shoulder pads and at least a half-shield on your helmet (full shield recommended).
- Cost is $244 for the summer league.
The league has posted some of our summer ice slots on its website (these links open in a new window):
